Mei’s Music Lab is a joyful, community‑centered music school serving families across Kennewick and the Tri‑Cities. We offer Piano Lab, Guitar Lab, and Drum Lab — individualized learning in a small‑group setting where every student can grow confidently at their own pace.
Our Music Lab model blends proven teaching methods with modern tools, headphones, rotating stations, and hands‑on coaching. Students stay focused, engaged, and excited as they move through personalized activities designed to build strong skills in rhythm, reading, technique, and creativity.
Our Teaching Philosophy
We believe music education should feel encouraging, structured, and inspiring. Every student deserves to feel successful — not rushed, not compared, and never left behind. In our lab environment, students receive individualized instruction while still enjoying the energy and motivation of learning alongside others.
Families love our approach because it is consistent, joyful, and designed for real progress. Students celebrate their growth through recitals, seasonal events, and meaningful musical milestones throughout the year.

WHAT IS A MUSIC LAB?
What Is a Music Lab? A Music Lab is a modern, individualized way for students to learn piano, guitar, or drums in a small‑group setting. Each student works at their own pace using headphones, digital tools, and hands‑on coaching from the teacher. This structure allows every child — beginner through advanced — to receive personalized instruction while still enjoying the energy and motivation of learning alongside others.
Students rotate through guided activities that build strong skills in rhythm, reading, technique, and creativity. The result is a joyful, focused learning environment where students feel confident, supported, and proud of their progress.
